Fans were alarmed when Rohit Sharma was himself in yet another scandal after a video from the Mumbai Indians' social media page went viral, reminding them of a similar event that occurred during the IPL last year. The video was shared on the eve of the IPL 2025 encounter between the Mumbai Indians and the Lucknow Super Giants at Lucknow's Ekana Stadium.

On their social media page, Mumbai posted a six-second video along with the following caption: "Q: How long will you watch this reel? A: "Haaanjiiii."

IPL 2025: LSG captain Rishabh Pant feeling the heat of Rs 27 crore tag? Former India star weighs in

Fans were more worried about the first few seconds of the video, which featured a conversation between Rohit and Zaheer Khan, the current mentor of the Lucknow team and a former MI coach, than they were about the bond between Rohit and LSG captain Rishabh Pant, who was seen approaching the 37-year-old and giving him a hug.

"Jo jab karna tha maine kiya barabar se, ab mereko kuch karne ki zarurat nahi hai" (Whatever had to be done, I did it perfectly, now I don't need to do anything) is what Rohit is heard saying during those few moments.

Fans were worried that the India skipper will get embroiled in another issue after he "got exposed again."

When a video of Rohit talking to Abhishek Nayar, the assistant coach of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the time, prior to the match at Eden Garden went viral on social media last year, Rohit found himself in hot water.

According to reports, the Mumbai Indians player was discussing the circumstances at the MI camp when he said that things would change one by one. The video was eventually taken off from KKR's social media page.

KKR CEO Venky Mysore later broke the silence on the viral chat. Speaking to RevSportz, he said, "I didn't even know about it. I think it's just a storm in a teacup. They have been good friends since God knows how long, and someone has done something there just to create some mischief. I talked to both of them; they were talking about something else. Some people just have too much time on their hands."
